In her solo exhibition Cardio Susanna Flock explores collective breaking points; controlled ruptures, planned harm, intended vulnerability and patchwork identities. The central work of the exhibition is the video piece "Building A.I out of Clay". The main protagonist is Frankenstein's monster as a CGI animation, evidently affected by an identity crisis.
In an associative approach, Flock examines the traces left by the intertwining of technology and everyday life. Digital technologies emerged through the labour economies of late capitalism and are, in Flock's work, always regarded in that context. An essential starting point of her artistic practice are internet phenomena, which are mostly negotiated in the form of video installation.
