The work "Dough" goes through several transformation processes from analog to digital and back again. Initially, digital photographs of dough pieces are made.
The natural material of the dough itself, a mixture of flour and water, is formed only under the action of mechanical energy.
This physical process was continued through digital image processing tools.
The dough motifs are distorted, kneaded and modeled by virtual movements of the cursor.
Finally, the digitally shaped dough is returned to analogue photography.
The photosensitive photo paper is placed directly on the computer screen and the screen is switched on and off. The computer thus transmits its digital imprint via a chemical reaction onto the paper.
The cursor marks on the images are indications of their digital origin. Further more every photogram is unique, they differentiate in graduation, saturation and sharpness because of the handmade production process.
